Anyone running a can on a no.1? I have a 30-06 26" barrel it currently shoots right around 1" with 150 gr barnes TTSX and .75" with 130gr TTSX likes lighter bullets anything over 165gr are usually 1.5 or larger. I've spent a lot of time tinkering with it, finally fully floated barrel and bedded forend right at barrel and about 1" down and then some around screw for forend and that got to 1" and very consistant 1". Before With pressure on barrel I could get it to shoot .5" one day next it might be 1.5". anyway all that said thinking of cutting off 6" of barrel and putting a 7" ultrabeast on it. It would make it very handy and quiet. Knowing how finicky these no.1's are just wondering if anyone else has tried a suppressor on one. Not looking for LR gun here, just a quite short hunting gun to 500 yds. Thoughts?

I cut a Ruger 1B down to 16 inches on a 6.5CM just so it would be handy with a suppressor in the SC deer woods.
I used the Hicks Accurizer on my gun also.
