300 PRC with 24 inch barrel. Going to shoot 200 gr accubonds. H1000 or RL26 be better for the barrel length and bullet weight? I am pretty well versed in H1000 applications, but is rl26 better for heavier bullets than 200 grains or longer barrels or what would you try first?

h1000 is never going to be the fastest powder, but it's been proven
X2, temp stable and easy to work with. 7.3 Powerstroke, never the fastest but still running after a hundred thousand 6.4s are dead.

If you have any, N570 was the magic powder for my 300 PRC and 215 Hybrids.
The throat in his rifle was so threatened by that it already eroded by a few thous 🤣

Never kept one long enough to find out 🤣
Rl 26 and N560 loads nearly neck and neck in the 6.5 Prc . H1000 fills the case guicker , getting less vel , but works . I would think that would also be the case with the 300 Prc so a powder choice in between those burn rates would be where I would look ,example N565 N570 H4831 Rl23 etc .try too get 98 too 100 percent case fill before pressuring out for max vel. Good luck.

I went with 80.6. The group at 80.5 should have been one hole but I pulled it.......
