Rifles Incorporated takes a Remington 700 action and meticulously shaves ounces off of the action and flutes and hollows the bolt. Arguably the best and lightest stock available is used. A Timney trigger is installed. This particular rifle was purchased as a dream rifle, costing upwards of $3500. Originally chambered in 7RUM, accuracy was not as hoped for. Gunsmith Dave Tow rebarreled w/ a Lilja #2 26" barrel chambered in 7STW and now it shoots 1/2" groups with 150gr Scirocco bullets (load available for buyer). Round count less than 200. This particular model also has the $250 teflon coating option, for the slickest action you've ever felt. Talley bases/1" rings inclued. Zeiss 4.5-14x44 matte duplex side-focus available for $600 more. For full disclosure, this has been used as an elk rifle in the pacific northwest, so it has a couple of small rubs/marks. Perhaps a 1/8" dent in the very bottom of the stock, tried to picture it, but it doesn't show. A factory Lightweight Strata weighs 5 pounds. This rifle weighs a bit more as a slightly thicker barrel was chosen for better freehand shooting, still VERY light.
