[QUOTE="dwm, post: 44831, member: 1136"] Here is a way to remove the J-Lock from your Rem700 bolt. (Required to install an HS Precision tactical stock if you have a J-Lock bolt.) From Sinclair International: These new complete firing pin assemblies from PIERCEision Gun Works install in Remington 700 bolts in just a few seconds with the Sinclair RFPT Firing Pin Tool. The firing pin assembly replaces the OEM firing pin, mainspring and bolt shroud in both pre-lock and post-lock bolts with the same unit. No firing pin disassembly is required. PIERCEision firing pin assemblies give shooters a faster lock time of 2.3 milliseconds and increase firing pin energy to 4.3 inch pounds. You will also get rid of the convoluted firing pin spring in the post lock bolts. Assemblies are available in black or silver for long and short actions. Not available for Model 7, XP or 788 actions.
