Picked up hunting and shooting later then most. Went into a gun shop to look at rifles for my first Deer rifle. They had one of these on the shelf in 30-06. They told me if I liked it to buy it as guns sell quickly. Little did I know they were telling me the truth. I went home and thought about it. Next day I went back with cash in hand and it was gone. After speaking with the guy behind the counter he asked me how I felt about .243 win rifle. We discussed it a bit and he walked out the back with a Rem 700 LSS. I bought it and it's been my favorite rifle since and I have a safe full of rifles now. I think these are one of the best looking rifles from Remington. I'd love to run across one when the times right to add a second to my collection. GLWS. I'm suprised it's lasted this long

i have that same rifle in 338 rum i bought it new in about the mid to late 90s they are nice looking.
And you need a standard action 30-06 to keep your .338 RUM company in the safe…don't ya!?!?!
