Ramshot Grand, and did it replace Magnum?

Willing to bet that Ramshot Magnum is being dropped as an imported powder and Hodgdon will drop H1000 and repackage it as Ramshot Grand (St Marks) with maybe the temperature tweaks. Might change it a little but it fits with Hodgson's past tricks.

H1000 SDS isn't listed on the Hodgdon Site.

H1000 is a stick powder. RS Grand is a ball/spherical powder.

Not wanting to de-rail here, but my question is semi-relevant 🤪

Am I correct in thinking double-based powders (while giving slightly improved velocity) are harder on barrels than single-based powders?

I was thinking RS Magnum was a single-based spherical powder?

Double based are not necessarily harder on barrels. Many double based ball powders are cooler burning than single based.
ALL Ramshot powders are double based ball powders produced by PB Clermont in Europe (unless Hodgdon has changed this). I have the entire RS line and find them very accurate and stable in my experience.
