We get very little moisture here…..average annual total precipitation is under 5".

We're getting rain of Biblical proportions, least for us. So far, just under 2" since around 10:00 last night……and still raining.

This was in yesterday's Cowboy Daily…..I hope that the author didn't have some sort of premonition! We live about 17 miles downstream of Thermopolis, on the Bighorn River only about 12-15 feet above typical water level!

Keep it up there, for if it comes down here, it turns to wet snow. We had enough of that this past weekend, and while I like powder Colorado snow, not this wet, heavy spring stuff that knocks out power for a day. I'm getting too old to shovel that stuff.

Rain here as well…..for the next several days. The ground is already saturated here from LAST weeks rain. Heck, I may as well take the cover off my pool and let the rain fill it back up to the proper level.

We've had 28-32" YTD around the farm.
But it will quit soon enough.
Missed the last 3-4 predicted with 70% plus chances.
Might have quit already.

Dark clouds just pass over, I learned along time ago, don't shut that irrigation water off just because it "looks" like rain because that ain't gonna happen

I've got my tinfoil hat on today. Has anyone else heard of cloud seeding? We've been getting rain on a daily basis lately here.

I remember last fall that they kept saying it was going to be a very wet winter but it was actually fairly dry, now it's wet, maybe they were off by a season?

When I took Louisiana History in HS ( last century )…..if I recall, the average annual precipitation was 65". About 12 years worth for here! memtb
