what is the best way to work out the best powder charge,as i keep hearing that just because you get good groups @ 100.
that they might not be very good out further,
at what distance dose it start to show up,and what is the best way to work out your best powder charge.

My (admittedly biased) /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif opinion is to check out the OCW method. You can work up a load at the 100 yard range, and if you properly interpret your results, in all liklihood, your load will perform very well at longer ranges. How far will depend on the cartridge and the bullet and of course the rifle--but the chronograph numbers generally look good on a properly identified OCW load.
