Hi guys. We picked up a nice Savage Stryker in .243 stainless and will start loading for it soon. Not having ever loaded a rifle cartridge for a 14" Barrel we are on "new ground" here.
We found the recommended pistol loads on the Hodgdon website, and it looks as though BLc-2 and Varget are the go to powders.
Anyone have any advice on other preferred powder and/or primers?
We are thinking magnum primers should be the standard, for faster ignition but aren't sure. We will be following the "go slow-work up method regardless.

We have W748, H and I 4350 both, but most of our powder is in that burn rate class or slower, you know, rifle stuff.

Does anyone have any "pet loads" you'd like to share?

Thanks in advance.
