I live in the Wallace area bordering these units and grew up in them, surveyed them for the USDA as well. There's lots of out of state hunters, lots of brush, and elk numbers are down. Yes there are elk but the numbers are nothing like they were in the 80's and 90's.

It was awesome growing up here but the hunting and invasion of out of state hunting and ATV overuse has me seriously considering moving up to Alaska. I work there anyway so why not.

Thinking about hunting unit 22 for elk this year near a friends property, does anyone know how they are doing in that unit??
