Optics for hunting

Looks like I bought a Zeiss Conquest V4 3-12x44 from a member here.

I think those were a Zeiss branded Meopta.

Not the V4's. The original Conquests were made by Meopta.

I would look at the Tracy toric. They have a 3-15 with a 1" scope tube. Can be run as capped turrets or with a target style turret that it comes with. Can be setup either way. I think they are 7-800. I have looked through a pair of there binos and they were very nice I thought.

Heck, I prefer 16oz or less. I do have a 20oz scope on one rifle

I do too, but cannot find good enough glass in a variable under 25oz.

I looked at a Leica amplus 6 yesterday they are very nice hunting scope, not the lightest but not heavy by any means. Glass was great capped windage turret, exposed elevation turret with zero stop very good clicks. illuminated, 2nd focal plane. Just a simple reticle 1 moa has marks I belive. Glass seemed good but can't tell when it's day light out, sure it won't disappoint. It was $1399 at Scheels. So maybe can find them esle were a little cheaper.

I should have added with an ffp tree reticle and exposed locking turrets. The new Vortex 4.5-22 looks interesting.
