Just thought I'd let you all know something that I recently experienced with my NXS 5-22 x 56.
You probably have all seen the plastic washers or shims being marketed as a zero stop for the scope. After asking a few people who had used them, I decided due to the fact that the zero stop from NF is unavailable in Australia I'd try them out. I had them on for only a month . BIG MISTAKE !
As a few of you would have seen over the last 6 months I have battled with first round hits. Basically shooting over everything. I sent the scope back to the helpful people in Idaho and that quickly confirmed the click values were out due the the aftermarket shims.
I would like to thank the first class people for their expertise at Nightforce who quickly diagnosed the problem, rectified it and had it posted back ASAP ! My hats off to you guys.
Moral to the story- Dont use the plastic washers in your elevation turret. They will stuff your scope right up ! And you will be $130 plus postage the worse for it.
Cheers
