Just wanted to say hello from North East California high desert area (think pine trees and sagebrush). I'm not really new to this site, I've been "lurking" for quite a while, but decided to join after another forum I was part of ripped into a guy for asking a question that they didn't agree with.
I'm also new to longrange shooting, most of my shooting is at california ground squirrels out in farmers fields at ranges of 10-300 yrds (yes 10, they're not the brightest things). But a 300 yard shot at a squirrel that's 8 inches tall and 2 inches wide in 20 mph gusting winds isn't anything to sneeze at.
Thanks to all for the good advice and information that I've already picked up.
