Found this sight recently as I am a a hunting addict, both big game & bird. I am not sure that I would consider myself a long range hunter at this point. I did purchase a Cooper 7 mag in 2015 that I have gonged steel at 800 yds but i would not be comfortable shooting an animal at those ranges unless the conditions where close to perfect. I have killed a dozen elk from 50-450yds.
I am interested in honing my long range shooting because I believe that being proficient at 800 yrd makes 500 yds a chip shot.
