New from Troy MT

Thank you Sir !

You like 338 for your lrh?
It was the caliber that got me started down this Long Range rabbit hole I do love it but she's 18 pounds and she don't get carried a whole lot I have a 6.5x 284 Norma that's a little lighter at about 11 pounds I'll carry it a little while but if I'm hiking through the woods I use the old meat stick which is a 30 year old Winchester model 70 in 3006, But occasionally I have been known to sit on a gas pipeline with my 338 and stack up a couple dear by 10:00 AM

Everyone has their own opinion of what LR, ELR is. To me, it`s when I have to start to dial wind, and elevation. Shooting coyotes out to about 450 with just an elevation hold with a 220 swift has been about my limit of just a hold over. YMMV
