new chronograph

Played with my new Shooting Chrony today. Got about what I expected from my handloads in my 30-06 but was really surprised by some Federal Premium Safari's in my 300 Winchester. The 180 grain partitions were clocked at 3159,3255,3129,and 3205 fps. Is my barrel fast? Hart 26" tube with about 150 rounds thru it so far. Anyone else clocked factory loads?

Thats about right for the 26" tube, but your Extreme Spread SUCKS.

129 fps in 4 rounds won't do much for those 600-800 yard groups...They must have been drunk at the factory that day!

Chris, what sort of extreme spread should I be working toward in my handloads? I know less is better, but what is realistic?
