So, I have looked for components for my 300 RUM for 5 months. This is what I have. Yes, I know H-1000 is a better option(feel free to ship me some). I understand US896 has temperature sensitivity, but its what I have (2 lbs from midsouth). What I would like is some real world data, or thoughts as to where I should start and theoretical max. I will be shooting it from a stock sendero ( with a wyatt box) with RP brass and will be using the Berger 230gr hybrid target bullets. Thanks in advance.

Here is some data directly from Sierra's reloading app. They're showing 90.9gr as minimum and 100.9gr as maximum. Personally I typically start 3.0gr below book max and work up until I find a node or hit pressure.

US869 is a great powder if used in a consistent temp, but quite temp unstable when temperatures vary. My best group ever @ 500 yds was with US869 but when I shot the same load at 20 degrees warmer it was not nearly as accurate.
