N568 Vihtavuori Powder

Oh it's definitely hype. Doesn't do anything a 7 mag won't do. After I got one, I convinced two buddies to just get a 7 mag. It's only nice if you don't reload.
People are winning F Class matches (1000 yards) with the 7mm PRC and PRCW. Idk if I'd call it hype. That's a fairly high bar. BUT... it's not hunting and hunting conditions. I like my 7mm Rem Mag. I might buy a 7PRCW some day... might not.

Wondering if you could share your experience with N570 relative to the cartridge you are using. Could you share numbers that reflect the temperature stability of that powder for your applications?

I am looking at prioritizing my testing of a few powder options for 300 WM and 300 Norma with N570 being at the top of my list for hunting loads. With N570, I have been mostly concerned with temp. stability in taking my testing efforts further, the investment of time is my main concern. Any data Temperature data you have about N570 would be helpful. Thank you! - Chris
Howdy, well this isn't the 300 Winny.
But this morning I worked up a load for my 300RUM, 215 Hybrid, Fed215M,
Rem 4th firing brass with N-570.
Made it to 95grs to reach my max.
95 gave 3307fps, but I found a good node at 93 and 93.5 both showed the same fps. So I tried 93.3 and it was the same. 93.3 gave me 3220fps. O.a.l 3.855
The picture below is 12 shots testing that node at 100yds. Now I need to go to the range and stretch it out 300 and 500.
I have not heard anything negative about the 500 series powder temp Sensitive.
Hope this helps. All and this thread is a Few years old. 👍🤓

O.A.L. Are different in every rifle.
Maybe try max mag length - 10thou.
And work your way back.
For me some Accubond are not to picky.
Hope this helps. 👍
Copy, I realize that about COAL. The reason I was asking this question to Phil Rizzo was to get an idea as to what kind of velocity I can expect to achieve from N568 in the 300 WM before I commit to purchasing more of it before it runs out (I don't have time to go test N568 for a couple of weeks so I am looking to others' experience to make a decision).

In my 300 WM, I would most likely be running a longer COAL with 200 gr. ELD-Xs and 208 ELDMs which runs 3.583" in my rifle 10 thousands off the lands; this means I can probably match or better Phil's velocities (26" barrel on my end), something I can already do with H1000 (2920 fps with the 208 ELDMs 76.6 grains of H-1000).

But... because N568 has given me very good accuracy with 300 Norma, if I can hit to my velocity goals/node in 300 WM with N568, that probably warrants getting another 8 Lbs of N568 instead of H1000 which is harder to find and more expensive. Running N568 in both calibers would be a benefit and I am also hoping others can benefit from the information as a potential for those struggling to find for H-1000 for their 300 WM loads.

Phil, your accuracy/velocity combo with N568/200 Gr. Accubonds in 300 WM was amazing, if you are following this thread, please let me know what your COAL was with the 200 gr. Accubonds out of your 300 WM rifle. Thank you sir - Chris
Chris, the notes on my phone say 2.987 base to ogive.
That gun has a long throat.
Thank you Phil! That's all I needed.
