Here is my rifle set up to cover the ridge of scrub oaks 700 yards away waiting for the Elk to appear. We saw many cowson that ridge but no bulls.Yet I was prepaired if one woul have appeared.
My rilfe is a custom built 300 Winn.MAg.topped with a 3.5X15X50 NXS with the NPR-2 recticle this rile routinely shoots in the mid to high .3 MOA with 180 TXS or AccuBond or SMK or any good quality bullet. The rig is not finicky at all.Shoots as well with Federal factory loads as reloads.

Nice rig. Can you give us some specs, action, barrel, stock, ect. Also, what kind of Bi-pod is that.

jwp473,

Nice looking rifle. Is that the Las Vegas area you're hunting? I will be out in your neck of the woods in a couple weeks for a trade show.

Good looking hide. My problem was just the opposite of yours.

All bulls and no cows, every day for 5 days and all I had was a cow permit.

I'm hard headed though. Going back to the same spot this year.

Either the 338 RUM or 270 AM is gonna bark if I have to shoot at a rock. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
