mounting NXS 2.5-10-42

Any experience out there for mounting a Nightforce 2.5-10-42 on a Rem LA? This is a lightweight Beanland rig and I was running a 2.5-10-24 NXS on it before. The short ring spacing on the new 42 mm objective would not let me run my old set up so I tried a Nightforce rail and ultralight low rings. This will not work unless I cut off the front of the rail to allow the scope to be mounted further back. Will Talley lows work or is there a better option? Thanks
