As mentioned before i kill 50% over bait ,50% calling and maybe a few more using other tactics.
This big boy and he is big came in at 12"45 pm to my 106 yard to be exact station which i just baited with a roadkill, note some arse cut the deers head off on the side of the road ,probably had a decent rack, this is common with roadkills with anything with antlers.Once again i took him with the Tikka T1x right side dead center between eye and ear,DRT!I usually only take head shots with 22 ,but within 75 i've dropped em with the tiny pill in the heart or double lungs.Never lost one yet.Pictures show where he fell, and me hauling him out,the CCI velocitor scrambled his eggs.We keep a roadkill list on fresh kills with names of people who want them if they're not too badly mangled, they have 20 minutes to come and pick them up we'll stand by and make sure all goes well. No shortage of takers, and we give them a state issued roadkill permit.

Sir,i'm in Ohio,prime eastern yote country,backyard encompasses 22000 acres.
I average between 50 and 100 coyotes a year give or take, not boasting, anyone can do it if you work at it,calling and baiting, and a few trapped.Keeps my deer, turkey, rabbit ,squirrel population from being decimated.By mid January i'll have at least a dozen, yotes ,and foxes frozen ready to sell,if it happens i'll post a few pics of the pile.THX

This morning 7:40 am bait pile what's left ,75 yards 204 ,neck shot ,24 grain Hornady NTX Superformance at 4400 fps slammed this small male,no exit however he was bleeding profusely from his rear orifices, both,i'm guessing the extreme hydrostatic ,hydraulic shockwave?

how do you see at night from the groundblind?
Seldom do I use the ground blind at night, when i do a coyote light Wicked Brand is mounted on my 22 Hornet. I do quite a bit of shooting out the window in a spare room using the coyote light. this month will change for me ,as i'm acquiring night vision.THX

What is the maximum range that you will shoot at coyotes with the .204 Ruger ? I am debating on getting a new rifle & it was between a 22-250 or .223, but now I'm curious about the .204.

I've got both rifles you've mentioned, and haven't used them since acquiring the 204.If you research the specs the 204 outperforms them both in some instances and factory loads. I've shot a coyote at 400+ yards with a factory HSM 39 grain Blitz King round. DRT ,granted conditions were ideal, but they must be at those ranges ,doesn't matter what you're shooting. I love my Thompson TC Venture.
