Model 93

Ok fellas I need some persuasion on a build or sort of. About a year ago I bought a model 93 mauser why I dont know ever since it has been in the way in the gun closet. My question is should I scrap it or should I build something off of it? I have read that this is a rather weak action. If I build something what caliber should it be?

weak small ring action and cocks going in. Two big downers. Real nifty for flipping the bolt and ejecting an unfired round across the room...... and that's about all.

My first rifle was a 93 in 7x57.

I'm quite liberal with my time and wouldn't use any of it messing with that action or rifle.
