McMillan on a Ruger M77?

Greetings,
Has anyone ever put a McMillan stock on a Ruger M77(tang safety)?

If so, how well did it shoot?
Did you install pillars and bed or just bolt it into the existing action area?

They are spendy, but sure purdy...

I just saw this question. Have three tang safety M77s. Two are short actions in the discontinued ultralight stock. One the 338 RCM has a #2 lilja the other is a 284 win made from a 7 rem magnum takeoff. Neither are bedded. McMillan told me at the time this design didn't need bedding.

Third rifle is a long action in 257 weatherby with a 28" #5 Lilja. Had that one bedded but no pillars.


All three shoot 1/2 MOA or better.
