I shot out a barrel on 300WSM over the years trying all sorts of powders and bullets as a personal quest to try to find the golden combo. Re-barreled and have settled in on RL16 even for 200AB's. Good stable consistent powder for pretty much of the loads I have shot in the 300WSM. I tried RL26, shot fine but more powder to point of compressed loads due to my COAL 2.95 limitation to get same results with RL16. IMO RL26 is way better in 300WM than in 300WSM which what I shoot for the big brother. Try RL-16 plus you can use it in a lot of other calibers.

My favorite load that my gun likes. Yours might be different so proceed with caution when duplicating someone else's load. Good luck.
