My 300 win mag seems to like 190 SMK more than anything that I've tried so far.

I would like to try 175 SMK - looking for load data for this. I have a small number of 178 ELDM as well.

Thanks.

This is from the Sierra Ed. VI. If you need something else, i can run in quick load if you provide the powders you are considering.

Thanks! I like to review the bullet and powder manufacturers load data before I ever run software models (I use Gordon's Reloading Tool). So, I very much appreciate the Sierra manual snapshot.

FYI, for other's use, I pulled this from the Accurate/Ramshot manual:

The Sierra Manual should work for loading those different bullets. Used the lower powder load and step up in increase powder loads, watching for pressure signs. I don't know if I would step quite as fast as Sierra manual shows. Sierra doesn't show a differences between 175gr and 180gr bullets in powder loading. There isn't much different there anyway. I would take some care in what powder you are using. I don't know what your temp change from high to low is there. Some powder listed are not very temp stabile powders. They are not going to put out something that really unsafe, but at the same time go slowly as you step up your powder loads. I would just load one powder charge per case and increase by .5grs to progress up to there max's. Test fire watching for pressure signs with each load. Anytime you change powders, primers, bullets, and brand of case you need to do a work up, watching for pressure signs.

There is enough temp change in Dallas area that I shoot out of a window of an AC'd house during the summer :) I plan for 20F-90F generally (since I will only shoot out of said house during the heat of the summer)

So if I end up using a relatively temp instable powder, I won't be pushing max velocity (regardless of powder choice, I'll take best accuracy over velocity anyway).
