Has anyone tried loading for the 300 PRC, yet? About to order a reamer, gauges, dies and brass. I have not been able to locate any load data, yet. I plan to load a hunting round and a target round for this one.
Thanks. I was playing with Quickload, as well. It looks like 82.4gr of H1000, with a 3.700 oal, and 212 ELDX would be a safe max. I was thinking to start around 78.0, just wanted another opinion.with those bullet weights and h-1000 and 3.600 oal. start at 78.0 and work up.
that is a high end 300 win mag load. I entered the 300 PRC in my quick load and quick design and that should get you started.
My 300 prc rig is being built as we speak by Cprecision rifles. Any updated load data from anyone.
Thanks for sharing. Looks like similar results with H1000 vs RL26Load data from Berger personal on 210VLD and 215 bullets. Company would only give data over the phone.
Interesting how much powder is used vs Hornady reloading site. See attached picture.

View attachment 118447 Saw where someone had pulled down a factory 225 gr load and it was loaded with 75.2 gr H1000. It was posted on Sniper hide.
I have one and have about 50 rounds down the barrel messing around with different loads but haven't gotten to H 1000 yet.
I started with Retumbo and IMR8133 with both 208gr and 225 gr.
Found a really good load with 208gr and Retumbo running 3040fps.
Picture above is that load at 654 yards.

Thanks for the input. I decided to start with 75 grains of H1000 to break the barrel in and it looks like a good starting point with the 225 ELD-X and an OAL of 3.7.As mentioned 78gr h1000 was pressure in my setup with .020 jump using 225 ELD-x so you may consider starting slightly lower.
