Is there a 6.5 cartridge that runs N570 well?

So N570 is all I have for powder. I'm thinking about what the smallest cartridge that can use N570 with good results. I have a 28 Nosler and am getting a 300 Norma Imp built right now. So are there any 6.5 cartridges that successfully and efficiently run N570? 6.5 SAUM maybe? Or would I have to go wildcat for a larger magnum case?

My experience is that 570 requires large case capacity. If you don't have about 80 gr capacity or much more, you can't get enough in tbe case for decent velocity. My RUM loves it at 100+ grs.

Yes, .264 WM. When I called Berger tech support for powders to use in my .264 WM for the 156 Berger, I was given a powder list with a burn rate of RL-25 to H50BMG. Depending on the chart source, N570 ids between IMR 8133 and RL33. Like everything else, YMMV.

I'll have to try it in my 6.5 Sherman Max. It would be hard to beat RL 26 for lighter wt bullets.

6.5-300 with 156 bergers is 95% and can't remember speed. According to berger, this is the fastest for that combo. Hopefully be doing load work soon

N570 is a super pita with an auto trickler lol. It's heavy powder as well, each piece is like 4-6 100's of a grain

I should have mentioned that I have to use a long drop tube funnel filling the 6.5 saum case with n570. Somewhere between 63-65.5 gr is probably going to be max in with 140-147gr bullets depending on what brass is used.

I like the idea of a 26 nosler throated long to seat the 156's out where they need to be. That's exactly how my 28 nosler is for the 195's.

Would be perfect in 264WM, 6.5WSM, 6.5SAUM & 26 Nosler.

I'm envious, can't get Vhit powders in Australia....no importer anymore, same goes for Alliant.
