I have a question about installing a Timney trigger on a Ruger 77v with the tang safety. Is this something having limited gunsmith skills that I should try doing myself, or should I just bring it in? They make it sound like a do it yourself installation. I just don't want to spend three days and end up bringing it to the smith in a basket! Hahaha

I was also told it would cost $100 to install. Seems like enough if it's so easy.

Thanks for any tips!

I have never installed a Timney in a tang safety Ruger. I have put them in Mk II's though, and the only issue I have run into is sometimes some stock material will have to be removed to get it in or for the trigger to have enough room to move freely. I wouldn't hesitate to install one in a tang safe model but haven't had the opportunity yet. I don't think it could be that difficult.
