Hydro Form Die and Custom Dies?

I'm in the process of building a 338 Norma mag improved and need a little advice yet on just a couple things.

First is on hydro form dies, do they work and are they worth the cost?

My process would be to use the hydro form die then still fire form through my rifle for break in but my thinking is with hydro forming my brass should be pretty well perfectly formed to the chamber in just one firing vs two or more.

Second question is what are my options for custom dies?

I know Whidden is one but hear enough mixed reviews to be leery of that route. I also know Warner is amongst the best but cost is more than I'm willing to pay. I'm also aware that CH4D, Hornady, Redding and RCBS will make customs from fired brass but wanting to see if there's any out there I'm not aware of?

Thanks for any help guy's
