HS psv102 problems

So I have been looking for a stock for my savage 12 fvss in 22-250. I finally found one I wanted and ordered it. Its the HS precision psv102. I thought this was a drop in but after I recieved it and tried installing it there is no way my barrel is going to free float. The barrel is resting right on the stock. What do I do? Has anyone else had this problem with this model?

Most stocks require minor modification for the particular application. A true drop in, tighten up, and go is rare. You could open it yourself, or send it to a smith.

Thanks for the info. What would the ballpark cost be for something like that if I was to send it off?
