I had only looked at the HS Precision model mentioned in the OP. The $1,800+ MSRP seems high to me, glad street price is lower.
I looked into the model you mentioned. It's interesting, but being on their micro action you're limited to AR length calibers. One in 6.5 grendel would be cool, but not first first choice for hunting.
Glad to see them moving towards lightweight stuff, always liked the action but the rifles seemed heavier than necessary. Their mountain ascent seemed like a winner, but they stopped making it after a few years.
