Hornday Powder??

rookie1,
I don't imagine anyone here on LRH knowing, unless they work for Hornady Mfg. and they ain't tellin'. It's proprietary info (trade secret) but I'm pretty sure it's a "blended" powder as they call it. It develps higher velocities and than anything you or I can get off the shelf. We could probably get close but the pressures would be dangerous I'd imagine. JohnnyK.

Are we asking about the compressed charges they're using in some of their specialty ammo? There's a story behind that, and I'm not quite sure how much of it has become public. It created a bit of a ruckus when it all hit, but I don't know what ever got settled about the whole deal.

Yeah, it was proprietary and not available in canister grades.
