Hornady announced the 7mm A-tip, does that mean the 7PRC will be at SHOT?

I'm betting the 190 will be in the .810-.820 Range that and should have less baring surface than the 195 EOL so a double win. That was a big flaw with it. Its B.C wasn't high enough to over come the velocity it lost to the 180 hybrid!

All I can say is I'm excited for the innovation that's fixing to come from other manufacturers trying to remain competitive in what was a stagnant market place.

Also that 390gr would pair nicely with a 375-338LM AI

The 162 ELD-M is .710, the ELD-X is .670.

The .308" 225 ELD-M is .730, the 230 A-Tip is .823. So I'd say you're right.

I think the 166 Atip will be around .730-.740

That 390gr .375" is nuts with a G1 of .987 and a G7 of .497. Then the 500gr in .416 has a G7 of .500. The .416 Barrett just got a new best friend, and I assume the 390gr is meant for the Cheytac ?

I'm not saying you are wrong, but where are seeing the 162 ELD-M at a .71?
On my box and on Hornady website it says .67

My first guess was wrong based off the wrong bullet. The 166 will be .730-.740. The 190 will be in the .800-.810 range.

Read my post up above. I admitted my first guess was based off the wrong bullet.

but no dies. My interest in this round is the hope that I can get factory ammo that performs better than I can reload. I really have no interest in the 190 A-Tip ($$$), the 180 ELDM is fantastic. But I want to shoot more and toil less
dies are easy if the shoulder is in the same spot, just use a redding type s bushing die for the 300prc but use the appropriate 7mm bushing--Im not sure if the shoulder is in the same spot though --but you could always get a die made too

BUT all I was saying was that reamers are already out and available so I'm guessing it will get through saami soon, just a guess though

I hope I am wrong but I think a lot of the guesses are high. The 6.5 goes 147 at .351 (G7) to at .355 (G7) - only .004 difference. The 30 is a bigger improvement with 225 at .391 (G7) to 230 at .414 (G7) or 250 at .442 (G7) - either 0.023 or 0.051 gain. That 7mm 180 ELD-M is already a pretty slippery bullet as the 6.5mm 147 is also. We'll just have to wait for the results I guess.
