Hello anyone tried newest powder IMR 7977

Oh wow, please share results. Looking forward to hear after shoot

a half hat full (max. book charge) of it with a 165 nos bt was shooting 1/2 moa and less in his bone stock tikka 300win at 100 yards. This was using our normal break in procedure (and first time out for the rifle); scrub the barrel out, finish with a light patch of oil followed by a dry patch. Proceed to shoot the daylights out of the rifle. Take home, clean, repeat.

Normal oal., ww brass, 215's to light the fire. We'll be chrono testing and stretching to 200 yards the next time out. I think they may have a winner with this powder; my Pops and brother are both using it and neither have had to work at all to make it happy in the rifles they tried it in...

I've shot a total of three rounds out of my 300 RUM factory Rem rifle. Those three rounds were single digit extreme spread, sub MOA.

Bullet was the Nosler 210 ABLR. Velocity was right at 2970 fps.

I've loaded some more to confirm the results of the first set.

80gr I 7977 with a 165 Ballistic Tip...
I also like to run 84 Retumbo with a Hornady 180flat base.
The latter load does about 3100 in a 24-25 in barrel, in my ##1 I had, it did 3250. Ask Lefty.... he was there watchin the old girl bark.

which cal ? 300wm ?

Today I shot H1000 started at 67grs till 70grs Berger 180gr target vld, kissing lands. 30 " 1000br Hart barrel, average 3054fps but spread was 34 fps difference from highest to lowest . The groups was not good .989 @ 100yd

It's did alright with 67.5 grs average velocity 2913. 5 shot group was .388

As much as I wanted to load 7977 I just didn't have time today. This week coming up will be different.

79 gr IMR 7977 with a Barnes 168 TSX is the only load in the last 2 years I have been able to get under an inch with my dads 1993 Browning A-Bolt. We thought the barrel was shot out and he was actually looking for a new rifle when I found this load a few weeks ago. Shoots the same ragged hole at 100 yards. I'm pretty confident this load will shoot as well as we can in his rifle. Still want to try and work up a little higher but it shoots good enough he stocked up on components for the load. Chronograph speed was a little slow which probably is a result of a worn barrel average of 2960 fps. The brass was old and had no special prep work either so he is going to re-test with some new brass and work up until either loosing accuracy or reaching pressure. COAL is listed book length which is about what will fit in his clip.

No clue in the 25-06.... always have used rl-22 and I4831 in that cartridge...
However, the 280 AI I was testing 60/61 grains of I7977 with the 171 Barnes match burners.... I was over 2880 with room to spare... fairly low es/sd...
Using 215s for ignition..
