Hammer Hunter Load Data, (See page 1, Post 8)

6.5x47 Lapua
110gr HH
22" Criterion 1:8
Lapua brass 1x
CCI 450

Varget
38.0gr- 3006 fps
38.3gr- 3039 fps
38.5gr- 3047 fps
38.7gr- 3070 fps
39.0gr- 3104 fps
39.2gr- 3105 fps
39.4gr- 3118 fps
39.6gr- 3143 fps (very light ejector swipe)

So today I could see we were not going to lose our foggy clouds all day and it would stay cool. I took my 6.5 RPM load - 121HH - 65.5 grains RL26 and swapped the original Fed215M with the Fed210M just for a reason to shoot. I gained 19FPS Average velocity from 3388fps up to 3407fps and my SD over 10 shots was 3! I shot 10 more without the magneto attached letting the barrel cool every 2 rounds and punched a .75" diameter hole for all 10. Zero signs of pressure (there weren't with the 215s either). I can't wait till the beans come out and I can shoot this at distance.

Quintus,
We're all learning. Good for you! Sometimes the std primer does surprisingly well! Thanks for the data!

GL,

Not sure if the is goes here. Not too many threads taking about Jack Hammers and really only one thread on 10mm. Started testing the waters today with the 137grn .355 JH and the 150 grn .400 JH. Gun used for both was a SIGP226.

I couldn't find any load data for 137grn bullets to start out, so I extrapolated between the 147grn Hornady and the 124grn. Usually this works for me, but I did have a whoopsie moment with unique….

.357 SIG 3" barrel, 1/16 twist, starline brass, CCI 500, COAL 1.135", 137grn JH

-CFE Pistol 6.5grn 1187fps
-Blue Dot 8.5grn 1220fps
-Unique 7.5grn 1389fps (DO NOT USE, blown primer, pretty sure I could fit a large primer in the pocket now). I will drop down to 6.5 (max for the 147grn Hornady) and try again.

40 S&W 4" barrel, 1/16 twist, win brass, CCI 500, COAL 1.120", 150 grn JH

-CFE Pistol 7.8grn 1319fps (didn't see any pressure signs, but this is much faster than book loads for 150grn Nos JHP so I'm not going to go any higher)

Sorry not more data but hope this can help someone who is trying to start out with the JH.

Ryan

Nicely done, Ryan. Glad you didn't have an accident with the Unique overload. It's good to see some actual data on these handgun bullets. Good starting points for my .357.

It was a hot one today - 90+ degrees and humid here in OH. I don't have any chrono data (yet), but had some pleasant results with the 260 gr HH in my 338 RUM today. This was my first outing ever with Hammer bullets, so was definitely happy with the results. May be a little while before I have free time to shoot again (completing a Mohs surgery fellowship), but when I do, I'll post up chrono data.

338 RUM
New ADG Brass
Fed 215
H1000
CBTO: 3.158" (0.020" off lands)

Worked up from 87 gr to 90.5 gr. All 4 shot groups at 100 yards. May have to try going up a little more to find my pressure ceiling. No excessive bolt lift, flat primers, or ejector swipe at 90.5.
