I did very little Load development, 56.5 grains IMR4350 and just about any 165 gr bullet produced clover leaf groups at 100 yards.
I also tried Remington factory 165, and federal 165 with the same result. It just shoots!!!!!!!!!! H-S has a stellar reputation for accurate
rifles, this one is no exception. Josh and the guys at the factory are easy to talk to and always forthcoming with information. These rifles
start at roughly $4500 now. Heres a chance to own one at Half price!

Ok, here is my final price drop!!! $2200 in the form of a PMO or certified check!! I'll pay shipping & insurance....

I have the twin to your rifle in 7mm MAG, its a incredible shooter, literally a one hole gun when I do my part. GLWS

Thanks. Ive had a bunch of interest, but it's an 06....... not cool anymore I guess...... if I can't sell it, I'll scope it and shoot it some more! It shoots fantastic!

If I didn't already have one I'd be all over it, I love the '06 been workin just fine for years. last I counted I have 11 30-06's!

That's awesome! I love the old 06, I have a few myself. A 1948 m70 super grade that has taken a ton of game, this one just deserves to get hunted more!

The 30-06 is overall my favorite hunting cartridge. When I was station in Alaska it dispatched everything that I put the crosshairs on. I didn't have much money in those days with the kids and all. And now much older with a few more bucks and multiple calibers, I still find myself from time to time just grabbing one of my 06's to hunt with. GLWS

I live in north central Wyoming, when I moved here from Montana 25 years ago, my trusty old model 70 was the only hunting rifle I owned!!!!!!!
The 30-06 is even better now than it was 25 years ago with advancements in powders, and bullets. you'll never be under gunned. I just wish our up and coming generations of hunters, knew there was something out there besides a 6.5 or 7mm. Unfortunately the long range craze has made a lot of shooters and very few hunters. nothing wrong with the old 06, and sneaking to within 300 yards!!!! Just saying, No offense meant to anyone, This is just one mans opinion.
