Did some trading and got some old new brass (with primers installed) for my 30-06. Research on the headstamp after the trade shows it to be made in 1945 by Winchester Repating Arms for the USG. Also, the primers are corrosive. 350 cases total. Some primers were tested in another gun and they go bang.
The brass is very nice, never fired (had the bullet and powder removed). Inside and outside are clean and shiny with no pitting anywhere. Looks a lot like unfired Lapua brass with a patina. Since the brass is in good shape I thought I could use it for here and there shooting, but with the primers I am uncertain. What are my options?
Let me know your thoughts on this. Thanks.
