Fixed Power or Zoom?

I have decided to purchase the Pentax PF65 ED II spotting scope. I have read a few posts about the XW fixed power lenses and it sounds like they are a slightly better eyepiece than the standard zoom. I hunt primarily in western Colorado, in area's where you can glass several thousand yards. If anyone has any experience with this system I would appreciate some feed back. I am leaning toward the XW14 which equals 28 power or the XW10 which is 20 power.
