First off a winch is a VERY handy thing to have hanging on the front of your truck!!
The snow prevented us from getting to the big town.

It was suppose to be sunny with a light breeze on Saturday=They lied, Good thing we know they are full of it and brought our jackets...45* is a little chilly for doggin but we did manage to find a few.

Got a couple of ground squirrels with the Gamo 17 cal pellet rifle.

The 204 and 32 grainers does a better job of dispatching squirrels and prairie dog pups (no they aint out yet)

The head was found 30 yards away.

Pic of the old long left handed Savage 204 and one of the 10 prairie dogs it dispatched. Guess where you hit them when all that is showing out of the mound is their head?

Yep I'm liking my 30-06 altra lite Tikka for big game hunting but it kicks like a mule......The 260 aint that much heavier but it sure is fun to shoot!!
Maybe a little big for doggin but its effective. He is hoping to make a long range shooter out of it.
