I see, in the newspaper this morning, that Obama signed 'Executive Orders' concerning Firearms but none actually flies in the face of the Second Amendment and interestingly, all the 'Executive Orders' deal with laws already in place. Reminds me of our society in general today.... make a rule or regulation and don't enforce it because we don't have the manpower or it's not prudent to right now..... The Congressional action part, Reinstituting the Assualt Wepaons Ban (of the Clinton Era) and banning the sale of magazines 10 rounds or larger has already been adjudicated as well as possession of armor piercing shells. Thats a simple matter of review and reinstatement by Congressional leaders however, the NRA and other pro firearm groups will adamately oppose that. At this point, none of the proposals involve us in a direct manner, however, if past practice sets precident, this is only the tip of the iceberg. I found the picture on the front page to be in very poor taste, Obama surrounded by kids from Sandy Hook. Political grandstanding at it's finest.... 'Take every advantage of a crisis for political gain', the hallmark of this administration, but Obama rebuked the NRA's web comment and ad about his kids being protected by armed guards at their school, private school I might add.... I still believe the comments on public media by Edwin Meese weighed heavily on Obama's decisions. However, it's not over by a long shot. Obama wants nothing more that government control of everything we do or say, in essence, a socialist state. I'm reasonably confident that steps will be taken to remove that threat and keep us all free from tyranny and opression and not to dillute or malign the very foundations and building blocks this country was built on... The Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Raether than the end of the battle, it's the beginning, the first skirmishes in what will be the battle for our freedoms. Never let your guard down for a second and at election time, vote for those candidates that promise to respect the Constitution and Bill of rights and never make an attermpt to compromise or take away your freedoms as citizens. Never forget that.
