All, I decided to be the Guinea pig and rip into what it would take to make an extended comb for the adjustable at one stock by boyds...

To start I realized that almost anyone with a normal or large scope cant get the proper height to be in line with the line of sight...

So... I drilled into the top of the comb first to see what was underneath as these studs are pressed into the plastic with ridges not bolted threaded or anything easy... drilled out the head and punched it through

Once that was done I turned the larger shaft down until I could thread it to a 1/4" 20 and threaded it... then took a 7/16" bolt I had laying around turned that down to the shaft diameter drilled a hole into it hit it with a die until mated the two shafts

I tapped the plastic comb with a 1/4" 20 and a 7/16" 14
for the small shaft...1/4" 20 will work as well if youd like but I used a piece of stainless 1/8" pipe turned it to accept a 1/4 20 die

And off to the range... you can still use the 4 height adjustments but your starting point will always be higher... cut and adjust your length to your needs and should serve you well... just line up the spot to the top of the shafts where they would be and drill into the rubber until you expose it and punch it out

I do not have a lathe so I just used a file in the vice and my drill... no this is not the intended use to side load a drill... but for me this works
I also added some rtv silicone to plug the hole on the pipe and to the threads of each shaft not a permanent threadlocker but will hold it in place and easy to remove still as it is only a plastic comb

Pics for mine show lowest and highest

Not sure why anyone would need more than the range already built in. I am at the first notch up. Barely a 1/2 inch above being flat down. I've got a Leupold 6-20x50 mounted on a rail with clearance above a heavy varmint barrel.

Yea, my uncle has one a Ruger American Predator with a 56mm Leupold VX5HD and I think his is only in the 2nd or 3rd position.
