Montana is not OTC, it's by a draw which is in March. If you get an outfitter pay additional $100 and you are guaranteed an elk tag.Any recommendations on OTC elk hunt. I know Colorado has OTC but I heard so does Montana. Any recommendations for outfitters is appropriated

Meeker area is good advice, Ive archery hunted their multiple times and helped guide last year during rifle season. Even with a rough winter we had really good numbers in camp and the only reason someone didn't fill their tag was just being unprepared to shoot past 200yds.Buck,
Grant Edinger does outfitting for Buffalo Horn Ranch in Meeker (970) 878-5250. If you were to look at a map of Meeker CO and find RD 7 just a few miles W of town then go N on the map for 13 miles, you'd see the outline of their ranch. It is pretty expansive at about +10miles N to S and 3 from E to W. It is top shelf elk land and Grant is the best. While not USFS land, they have access to landlocked BLM that nobody except them, gets access to. good luck, mike
