Got a delivery of the long awaited Edge TLR from Federal. Took a few pics and did some measuring, for anyone that is considering these bullets.

I ordered 4 boxes of 50, they came in this box. Hopefully all from the same lot#. No indication of any lot #s on the individual boxes.

L-R, 155 EDGE TLR, 180 ELD-M, 195 EOL. Length is 1.51", with a .30" tip length. Excellent BC for a 155, if it holds.

Load data included in the box. Interestingly, they appear to target ~3100 fps in each cartridge (except 280) No 28 Nosler data. I will be loading these for my 28, in Hornady cases, with H1000. looking to create an excellent all-weather, hunting load. Might be a few weeks before I have time to load, trying to get our new home finished up, not much fun time available right now!

no, they're not monolithic--more like the Trophy Bonded Bear Claw. Thick jacket and lead core up front, bonded, with tip, and a solid copper boat tail base. Check out the other thread in here "Federal's new long range loads" on page 2, user Badgerclaw sectioned one almost in half

the 4 boxes of 50 *should* be the same lot number. This was the initial shipment of component bullets, I believe, and thus should be the same lot.

I loaded and shot some 175gr 300wsm last weekend. Still working on a load. Only had one load @ 68.3 4831sc that was under .7 most right at 1moa. Going again Sunday trying seating adjustments.

It looks like this would also be a great bullet for my 7mm Rem. Mag.
I just bought some Speer 145 gr. Spitzers to load.

I think they should have carried the 'ACCUCHANNEL' on down the bullet...made it like many that are now proven to shoot faster because of less friction.....
and with the frontal portion opening like they show..they should be awesome hunting bullets........
Dang it.....i hate when others make me buy the try......way to many bullets..not enough time.....
Thx...great thread and info....

Been shooting the 175gr in my 300wsm last two weekends. Found node at 69.3 gr H4831sc consistency at 1.5" at 300yds@ 2982fps! Now need some game to test on!

Did you use the suggested COAL from the load data that they included in the box? Are you finding them to be depth sensitive at all?

I was able to do some quick loading done this afternoon, and decided to go shoot. Using H1000, since I'm almost out of Retumbo, and started at 69gr since that's what Federal recommends as their max load in 7mm Rem Mag for a 160gr Trophy Bonded Tip. And since they're similarly constructed, I decided that max load for 5gr less bullet weight would be a safe bet. I used the same COAL as on my 168 ABLR. I loaded 20rds, 4 batches of 1gr increments, so 69, 70, 71, 72gr. No pressure signs throughout all batches, and they all exhibited decent accuracy. Went all the way up to 72gr, and got this group. Only shot 4 times for this group because I wanted to use my 5th for a Magnetospeed reading. For the 5th shot I got 3117, which is right around what I was hoping for. I'm excited to use these this season!
