ive got a long action m700 stock collecting dust and i was thinkin of what i could use it for then i thought maybe i could make up a rifle that had a long action round but shot a small pellet like 3006 shootin a 6mm pellet anyone looked into this im only day dreamin so im not even sure i can do it i wanna run a 20" tube maybe supress it'll be for varmits and sika/fallow

Look up the 240 Gibbs and the 243 catbird. Both are pretty much what you are thinking of.

i see barrel life isnt all that flash is that sumthing to be ecpected with thesse sorta wildcat rounds

With the short barrel check out the 243 AI. Barrel life is longer. I have the 240 gibbs and 6mm-06 improved along with a few more.

Most of mine are built on long actions to seat the long heavy vld type bullets way out there and feed well through the action. With standard length bullets it works fine with a short action.

how bout a 6mm 284? i dnt know if it short or long and what chambering to work it off remmy do a 280 but again not 100% sure on how it'll work
