Is the 527 .223 Varmint 24" barrel with 1:9 twist a good production rifle?

Thanks for the information and time.

Oh, yeah, good rifles. I had an American (.221 FB); am looking at a .204 Varmint as we speak. The Varmint is still light enough to carry reasonably well and has a neat single-set trigger. The safety operates backwards from what's normal here, but one gets used to it. Most are shooters, although sometimes the stock might need a little sanding if touching the barrel. Newer ones come with a bolt handle that clears the scope ocular bell without going to high rings. Highly recommended.
