For Sale: Custom 300 Weatherby rifle built by Spencer Custom for 1000 yard competition. Action is a blueprinted Remington action. Sako bolt conersion. 30" heavy Spencer barrel w/ custom muzzle brake. McMillan bedded stock. Kelby rings and bases. Jewel trigger. Throated for 240 grain Matchkings, shoots 220 Matchkings amazingly! Single shot follower. Lightly used, round count 350. Asking $2400.

Nice looking rifle. Built by Clay Spencer? Is action glued in? So what kind of groups at 300 yds. and 1000yds. Tight neck? I am looking to get into 1000 yd competition. Thanks.....Give me all the details you can.

Yes, built by Clay. Action is glued in. Cloverlear at 300 yards w/ 220 gr. Sierra Matchkings. 4-5" at 1000 on a good day and good conditions! It is a tight neck w/o the typical Weatherby freebore.
