crimp for 338 lupa magnum

does a 338 lupa magnum reload require a factory crimp or is a roll crimp enough

I'm not sure about anyone else, but I use neck tension alone, and no crimp at all. 2-3 Thou is sufficient neck tension for my purposes. I've shot plenty from magazines, with a bunch or rattling around and I've not had any instances where the projectiles were visibly pushed back into the cases.

I've not seen any factory / box ammo that had a roll crimp (but I hand load 99.9% of everything that I use).

I don't crimp any of my reloads which includes a 338 LM.

+1 on the 2-3 thou. neck tension with no problems..as long as the neck is straight with minimal run out..
