I have a few calling stories. They've piled up cause my desktop took a dive and never came back up. Then deer season opened and the Coyotes got a break. So we'll start with my trip to Beiber Ca to a ranch I have permission to hunt. Took my son who is 10 and has his hunting lic. still looking for his 1st Coyote and a guy that has kinda took the grand pa roll for my son since my dad lives in Eastern Wa. Don loves my kid and they get along great. Our 1st set up I no more than turned on the fox Pro and the female Coyote came tearing thru the tree's and stopped @80 yds my son couldn't get on her the bi pod got stuck in some brush so I had to shoot. Made a clean shot on her 1 down. So next set up we were behind the hay barn where the landowner said a big coyote was hanging out chasing his calves. we could see the top of the barn and found a nice cozy spot and set up caller and Mojo decoy. 4 mins or so in this female coyote comes in hard and stop on her own and again my son can't get a shot so Don dumps her @ 60yards. Nothing else came in so we headed out. Next is my hunting dogs 1st coyote hunt that I called in a Coyote. We only sat this spot 2 mins and a double came in My friend shot it @ 100 yds and I let Sam my dog after it. It fled and he trailed and eventually cornered it and after a short skirmish it passed to yote heaven. Sam did execellent for his 1st Coyote.
