The dates have been set, and we think those attending will be pleased to know the location will be at the Rasmuson Wildlife Conservation Center at the Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Ranch. The Teddy Roosevelt Ranch is located West of Dupuyer, MT at the base of the beautiful Rocky Mountains. This is the Boone and Crockett Club's education center. There will be very reasonable pricing for lodging and food onsite.
The dates for the 3 day class are Friday-Sunday April 21-23rd, 2017. Thursday April 20th will available for attendants to confirm a zero and/or calibration.
The lead instructor is Don E. and he has just returned from the Berger Southwest Nationals, where he was first overall in F-TR. Don is first and foremost a hunter, albeit, one that does exceedingly well in competitions. Don also holds several NRA National Records in F-TR. I think he will bring an interesting perspective to this class along with some experience in the art of wind reading. Don's main assistant is Chas B. who also brings a wealth of knowledge. Chas' experience includes serving in the USMC, where he spent some time as a PMI (Primary Marksmanship Instructor). Chas also is an avid hunter and has a strong competitive shooting background. He participates regularly in field practical matches (similar to PRS, but more applicable to hunting) and NRA across the course matches. He currently owns a marksmanship training company and I can say his personality is very well suited to teaching others.
To those that have emailed us, Don will be reaching out to you very soon if he has not already. I encourage members of the industry to get involved with this type of concept and help foster a change in ethical management of our wildlife resource!
