Last year I had the great fortune to hunt with fellow knifemaker Dan Farr and our chum and hunting newcomer Roger Pinnock. Roger had NEVER hunted before this, and I'm pretty certain this was either the second or third time he'd fired a gun. The weather and lighting we perfect, so after taking a quick pheasant, I elected to shoulder the shotgun and shoot with the Nikon.
Both of Dan's dogs were on fire, and Roger had easily the best first-timer hunting experience I've ever heard of... and I was lucky enough to catch it on camera. Enjoy!

    Are these wild birds?

What part of Nevada? I usually hunt North of Trout Creek Mountains on Oregon side.
